jaque Software Licence Copyright (c) 2026 Parsecode Labs, S.L. All rights reserved. Until Parsecode Labs, S.L. is registered, the copyright is held by its founder, Marcos Benedicto, who assigns it to the company on registration. This is a draft written by the copyright holder. It is to be reviewed by a lawyer before it is relied on. 1. Ownership. jaque, its source code, binaries, packages, container images, charts, documentation and marks are the property of the copyright holder and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in this licence transfers ownership. 2. Grant. Subject to these terms, the copyright holder grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run the jaque binaries and packages published by the copyright holder, in unmodified form, on systems you own or administer, for the purpose of monitoring those systems. 3. No source. The source code of jaque is not provided and no right to it is granted. You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows it despite this term. 4. Restrictions. You may not copy the software except as needed to install and run it; modify it or create derivative works; distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense or otherwise make it available to third parties; offer it, or a service built on it, to third parties as a hosted or managed service; or remove or alter any proprietary notice on it. 5. Your content. Configuration, check scripts, plugins and data you supply to jaque remain yours. The event log, the projections and the exports jaque produces from them are yours. 6. Third-party software. jaque runs plugins you supply, connects to services you configure and sends notifications through providers you choose. Each is governed by its own terms. Third-party components embedded in jaque are used under their own licences, which are listed in the binary's notices. 7. No warranty. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. A monitoring engine can miss a failure, report one that did not happen or notify late; you decide whether it fits the systems you point it at and keep whatever other safeguards those systems need. 8. Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, the copyright holder is not liable for any damage arising from use of or inability to use the software, including direct, indirect, incidental and consequential damage, lost data, lost revenue and business interruption, under any theory. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the software. 9. Termination. This licence ends automatically if you breach it. On termination you stop using the software and delete every copy. 10. Law. This licence is governed by the law of Spain. Any dispute is heard by the courts of Madrid, unless the law gives you the right to be heard elsewhere. Questions go to hello@parsecode.net.
